I had been with Distinction Tutorial School for six years - 4 years for secondary Maths and 2 years for "A" level Physics. I improved from Cs in sec 1 to sustained A1's in upper secondary for Maths. That provided a good foundation for my "A" level Maths. I scored an A grade for "A" level Physics. My time at Distinction had been enjoyable, fulfilling and rewarding. I achieved more than I set out for and for the string of distinctions on both my "O" and "A" level result slips, this is one place, true to its name, I need to thank.

After joining Distinction Tutorial School in sec 3, my results improved significantly. I used to score C5s in Maths, Science and English. I improved due to the clear explanation and ample practices given by the tutors who are truly caring and helpful. Furthermore, their advice and encouragement have benefited me greatly. For the "O" levels, I scored A1 for both E & A Maths, A2 for Chemistry and B3 for both Physics and English. Now I'm back in Distinction for General Paper and Physics tuition.

Academic performance has always been my concern. Since I joined Distinction Tutorial School in Secondary three, I have greatly benefited from the help I received there. The small class size allows the tutors to meet individual needs, and the approachable teachers are knowledgeable and responsive. The constructive lessons help to bring out the essence of the topic. Now, I am back in Distinction for quality help in "A" level Physics and General Paper.

The English and Combined Science lessons in Distinction Tutorial School had helped me very much. I actually improved from a C5 grade in English to A1 in the "O" levels. Clear explanation for the Combined Science lessons helped me achieved A1 for the subject too! The friendly environment makes it easy for us to learn well.

Miracles do happen, especially after taking tuition in Distinction Tutorial School. Horror subjects like Maths and Science, which I hated most, became my favourite subjects. Thanks to the dedicated teachers who never failed to encourage us and were a constant source of encouragement. I joined Distinction in Secondary three after getting F9 for my mid-year Maths and Science examinations. Yet at the "O" levels, I scored A1 in Combined Science and A2 in Maths. Thanks a lot, Distinction.

Before enrolling in Distinction, I failed Maths and Science. However, due to the clear explanation of the tutor through concrete examples, easily understandable notes and ample practice, I gradually saw the light. There was a breakthrough in the "O" levels: I scored A1 for E Maths, A Maths, Chemistry and A2 for Physics. That was a real surprise for many people in school! I appreciate the patience and care of the teachers, not forgetting the humour that makes tuition actually enjoyable!

Distinction Tutorial School has made learning English fun. From keeping a vocabulary book, taking weekly vocabulary test to writing essays and understanding comprehension passages, I realised that all these routines actually helped extend my frontier of learning. Indeed, a lesson at Distinction is not just about learning English, but also about applying the right reading strategies. The teacher is warm and amiable, always motivating her students to attain greater heights. Without Distinction, my interest for English would never have been rekindled, let alone scoring A1 for it. Now that I have left Distinction, I really do miss my time there.

I have had many different tutors throughout my school life, but none of my tuition experiences could measure up to that which I had in Distinction Tutorial School. I joined Distinction when I was in Secondary three for Physics and Chemistry and found the sessions to be highly interactive. Not once did I feel that the lessons were boring. In fact, my interest for the sciences grew and these subjects became so much easier to grasp and understand. I joined the English tuition class in secondary four. If not for that, I could have failed English and would not have scored the B3 grade reflected on my certificate. I scored A1 for both my Sciences, so it was much easier for me to cope with them at the "A" level.
